Google Cloud Security Talks at RSA 2019 | What containers are and how they change your security model
- Container security
Security teams aren’t necessarily familiar with containers, the ‘new’ way to run your infrastructure. That unfamiliarity can lead to hesitancy about adopting containers, since securing them seems like a burden.
Actually, containers aren’t that scary — and any harder to secure — than traditional environments. In fact, since containers are meant to be redeployed often, they can improve your security model, allowing you to more frequently and easily deploy security changes, such as patches.
In this talk, we’ll cover what containers and Kubernetes are, basic security properties so you can start protecting them, and what features exist on Google Cloud to protect your containers.
